Celebration Chicago 2019

Celebration Chicago saw a dozen or more WW members get together sporting their new racing shirts. It was quite a thing to see our troopers recognize one another and show support.

Fatigue

Fatigue can be a silent adversary. Many fans don’t immediately understand why certain troopers ‘tap out’ during a troop. A troop is already hard on the body: standing, dehydration, pinching armor. Imagine doing so with an invisible condition. NEVER be ashamed to know your limits. While it is admirable to ‘push through’ for a troop, take care of your body.

Support Network

A strong support network makes all the difference. That’s why the WWD is here. Thankfully for some troopers the support starts at home. Here is Keith and his family sporting the WWD racing shirts. For any of us, seeing the message of support for those trooping with disabilities is priceless.

Looking After Our Own

In 2012 Sean Dudley, former Garrison Commander of Carolina Garrison, fell ill after a positive diagnosis for cancer. We are proud to announce he made a full recovery! The WWD Helmet patch was first released back in 2012 as a fund raiser to help Sean with his medical expenses. We stand by our own!
